How do I sell an investment?

Quick Reference

Putting shares of a stock you own on the market is not a sale, just an offer to sell.  Responding to another player’s offer to buy is a direct sale.

A partial offer is a sale of a portion of your total shares in a web-site (for example, offering to sell 10 out of the 26 shares that you own.)

Alternatively, on your portfolio screen, under “Your shareholdings” you can select one of your stocks to sells shares from on the market:

You can also sell your shares in a web-site on the market in two ways. Under “Offers Available to You” - clicking on an offer to “Buy”, you will have the chance to sell a number of shares you own to another player:

Upon completion of a sale of shares, ExtZy will debit the buyer and credit your account with the total purchase price.

Over time, your portfolio can grow in two ways: increasing value of shares you own, and sale of shares you own for more than you bought them. Click here for more information on profits.Profits.html
