How do I grow my portfolio?

Quick Reference

Tip - Change the number of days from 15 (the default) to 90 to see the site’s activity and value over a three-month period.

The stock price chart provides two types of information: the range of the stock’s value (in grey from low to high), and the median price (the green line.)

Activity graphs will change with the time period as well, highlighting trends - for example, how this business site gets far less traffic on weekends.

Your portfolio will grow in two ways - first, if the market price of stocks in which you have bought shares rises.  Just like a real stock market, ‘past performance is no guarantee of future value’ and your share prices can go down as well as up.  If you’ve made wise investments, though, as the stock’s value rises, so will the value of your overall portfolio.

At the top of your portfolio page, click “See Market Data” to select a stock, and then choose a number of days to see its market performance.

You can also see the “Volume” - how often a stock’s share have been bought and sold during the time period.  A lot of activity indicates a great deal of market interest in that web-site.

Finally, you can judge the public interest in a listed site by reviewing the “Activity” over time - the number of unique hits that site has received.
